So one thing everyone has been telling me over the last couple weeks is to have patience---which is easy to say when you don't have a bowling ball sitting on your bladder and your hoo hoo. Oh well the wait is soon to be over!!!
It's funny how your relationship to someone can change so dramatically when you see them everyday. I would of course be refering to my doctor. The aforementioned Dr. Dumb is actually quite smart--just extremely cautious and in my case I think a little suspicious. (ya know those crazy Americans!!) Anyway, over the last several visits--7 in the last two weeks-- we have gained a mutual understanding. It's either that or he is really sick of seeing me because yesterday he decided it is time to induce!! He apparently thinks I have been very patient--and yes he did say that. Really.
The long wait will be over starting today at 6:30 pm my time--that's 12:30 Ohio time and everyone else can do the math. Needless to say we are ecstatic, not to mention a little nervous, but mainly just incredibly excited to meet our little girl.
We'll keep everyone posted via my HOT Momma--don't be mad Mom--since I won't be out of the hospital for 5 days which is the standard stay here.
So as for patience, I guess it isn't all that over-rated and sometimes it works. Love you all. Wish me good luck and send some prayers our way.

Birthday Thanks
I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who emailed, texted, called, sent cards, left comments on my blog, dropped off presents at 7:30 in the morning, took me to dinner, hi-jacked my house to set up a surprise B-day Party/Baby Shower while I sat upstairs blogging, or otherwise made me feel really special for my B-day. I was kind of overwhelmed because I thought this would be just a mundane B-day, (the excitement is yet to happen) but so many people remembered the day and took the time to wish me B-day Congratulations. Apparently some had a little help remembering from a certain husband!!
For the big day, I got woken up by a text and then a surprise knock at the door accompanied by a gift and a friend running to catch the bus. I then took it easy for a while and went back to sleep. I had a doctor's appointment (still nothing), and then just hung out in the city until Etienne got off work and we went to one of our favorite little restaraunts together. He stopped by the restaraunt earlier to make sure that the cook would make the spiciest curry he could make, which obviously didn't help move things any faster for the labor.
Then we came back home and I was surprised again by a sweet and very unique bouquet of something very swiss which is difficult to describe---kind of a flower arrangement but without the flowers. Then I got to spend a little more time with my amazing husband before we called it a night. Overall it was very nice, extremely relaxing, and not at all what I expected. So thanks again to everyone. I love you tons.

39 Weeks--Yes I'm Counting!!
So, I went to the doctor yesterday morning on my 39 week mark. I went in hopes of finding out that I am 3 cm dilated and ready to have this little one, but that was not to be. Instead I was to be crushed by the announcement that I am not dilated at all, not even a little, and she may not be coming until she's good and ready. Apparently she already has a mind of her own-- although I have no idea where she gets that from. Maybe someone just forgot to teach her that whole do what your parents tell you to rule. (We tell her to come out everyday, and so far she isn't listening.)
Despite things not going as (I) planned, I am trying to look on the bright side. She is doing very well and seems content enough to stay where she for a bit longer. This also means that Etienne and I will have a little more just him and me time for the next who knows how long (which is a very nice part of the bright side). Good News though: The doctor did confirm that he does still believe that she is indeed a girl. Miracle of Miracles!!
When she does decide to come, I will try to put something up on here to let everyone know. So keep checking back and cross your fingers for me.

America Trip #2
First just let me say, if anyone reading this is a frequent flier, then don't ever ever ever fly with Continental. You will probably regret your decision if you do. I did---several times.
Back to the main point of going to America for a second time in a matter of a couple weeks....A few days after getting home, we received news that there was a man who was emotionally attached to our house (weird? yes)--it being the home he was born in and grew up in. Because of this attachment, he was willing to offer us 3 of his houses (all rental properties like ours). Since this wasn't an easy decision for us to make over the phone, we decided it best if I flew back to check out the deal.
So I flew to Ohio on the worst airline known to man and after arriving my dad and I went to work. After a short time, we realized that the guy we were dealing with wasn't exactly the upstanding citizen he continually told us he was. I got to learn a lot in those two weeks about exactly how much info people can access about you on the internet and how easy it is to access it. We found out all kinds of lovely info on our friend. Long story short, we decided not to take the deal, and we began work on our own house.
All in all, it wasn't the worst thing that could have happened. I did get to hang out with the fam and a couple friends for another two weeks, and of course---- I got to visit TACO BELL!!! Heck yeah!

So here are some of the pics and a video of one of the houses that Shady McDodgerton wanted to trade us for. It was really quite a cool house, but would have cost way too much to renovate. I took this video when we were still thinking of doing the deal. Can you hear my optimism? C'est la vie!

Home a Day
The crappiest thing about coming home from vacation is going back to work, but what about when you don't go back to work??? Of course someone has to work, so in our family that is Etienne. What is crappier still, is when your spouse goes into the Swiss Army for 3 weeks (with no likely chance of coming home for the duration), the day after you get back from being practically joined at the hip for almost 7 weeks.
Yes this is what happened to us after being home from America only a day. Gotta love mandatory military service. The crazy thing is that the day Etienne got there, he got really sick (thanks to his BFF Re-chard--you know who you are!!!) and had to go into the infirmary for the rest of the day. Then the next day, they sent him home for 2 days. I was sad he was sick, but happy he was home.
The day he went back to the army, my cousin Andrew came to visit and saved me from a couple days of miserably missing Etienne. We went to all the tourist traps around St. Gallen but mainly hung out and caught up on each other's lives.
He left on Sunday and because of some strange happenings in Ohio with our rental house, I decided to fly back to Ohio for a couple weeks. Little did I know what those two weeks would entail.....

America Trip #1 Week 4
Our last week was mainly spent waiting on finalizing the purchase of our house. (No we aren't moving to America any time too soon.) We bought a duplex to rent out as an investment. It took a lot longer than was expected, so Etienne spent a lot of time with my Dad working at his rental properties, and becoming his comical clone, while I spent time with my Mom, April, and my amazing friends I love who are still in Ohio without me.

(Yes Sean that pic is just to show the world what an incredibly talented brother I have!!!)
So in the end, we said our sad goodbyes and flew back to the Land of Milk and Cheese.

America Trip #1 Week 2 and 3
Week #2 and 3: road trip.... We started the week out with a road trip to Chicago to see my oldest friend, the incredible Vaneesha, and finally got to meet her boyfriend Logan. Hey V, here's a public thumbs up on Logan!! We stayed there for two nights and left midday on Tues for the Far West!
Let me preface this part of the trip with the fact that it was all Etienne's idea. I have driven that part of the country too many times to be excited, but that didn't deter Etienne at all. He loves wide open spaces. (no reference to the Dixie Chicks here---Etienne hates country music.)
We drove and drove and drove and ended up in Ogalala, Nebraska, where of course there was no vacancy in any hotel other than the "Grey Goose Lodge" due to some big motorcycle race. Surprisingly, it turned out to be pretty nice despite the name.
From there, we drove through Wyoming, stopping along the way to see some small historical sites (again Etienne's idea--can you tell) and ended that day in Green River, Wyoming at my Aunt and Uncle's home.
The next day we headed down to Provo to see Jeff, Etienne's Italian side of the fam, and to visit with Karch; Etienne's comp from the mission, and Amanda; good friend from when I lived there. We packed a lot into 3 days and then started back.
On the way back we hit a cool storm coming through Wyoming, stopped at all the historical sites we could possibly fit into one day, and then stopped to stay in our room in Ogalala again. We woke up the next day and drove straight through, all the way back to P-burg. We ended the 3rd week with my Mom and sisters throwing me a baby shower. Thanks to everyone who came and/or sent gifts. I am really grateful and very excited to use everything on our little one!!!!

America trip #1 Week 1
I have been home from America for a while now, but I thought I would fill you all in on the blessed details, so here they are. We had an amazing time while we were there--kind of a last hurrah for our pre-child life.
Week 1: we spent in beautiful Ohio with my family. It is always nice to be surrounded by the fam, especially as it continues to grow and get more and more loud. The week started out fabulously as everyone arrived and Alayna announced that she is also expecting!!! Congrats Al! While we were all there, we went to the world famous Cedar Point, worked on some house projects, and had a fun family bonfire barbecue.
For Etienne and I, Cedar Point, I am sad to say was a huge disappointment. You see I love Cedar Point, but being pregnant at Cedar Point means you can't ride any of the rides. So really what's the point!! Also, because Etienne hates rollercoasters, let's just say he wasn't too thrilled about waiting in line for 2 hours just to get on one. Good times.... However, we did get to spend time with family, so ultimately it was worth it. The reunion was all too short and sadly had to end, so after only 3 or 4 days, we went our separate ways. Etienne and I are really looking forward to our next chance to spend time with you all. We love you.

Guess who's back?
Sorry as usual, but these days my life feels a little crazy. It seems over the last 4 months it's been one thing after another, but things are finally settling down--at least for the next month hopefully. We've had lots of fun this summer with our visits from Mom and Dad, Al and the Men, my cousin Andrew, and Dani's girl Brandi, also we've gotten to spend a lot of time relaxing with fam in Italy and America, so now it's time to hunker down and get back to real life even if it does feel a little surreal at times. Well I'm back and I love y'all so let the posting resume.....

IT'S A.........???!!!!!
Wellllll we had my 23 week check a couple days ago and the baby is amazing. My doctor asked if the baby moved much and when I replied that the baby doesn't really stop moving, he seemed skeptical to say the least. To his surprise, the baby moved the entire time which made the sonogram a bit of a challenge at times. I was very proud.
At the end of the check up, my doctor still hadn't mentioned anything about the sex of the baby, so of course I asked. He said," I think it's a girl." To this Etienne replied, "What do you mean THINK!?" My doctor then told us that he is 99% sure it is a girl. So there it is folks. After waiting for what seemed like forever, we finally have our answer from the fabulous Dr. Dumb. The funny thing about the whole matter is that no doctor can be any more sure about the sex unless they do a special test. So the fact that he didn't want to say because he wasn't 100% sure is just pure male ego in my book. So get ready world, here she comes... a little girl Egg!

It's a small world...

So while we were in Italy, we had an interesting experience. We were there over one weekend, and got to go to church. There is a tiny branch in the "big city"(Lecce) close to where we stay. Etienne and his family know most of the members since they go there every summer. The branch is growing, but still has mostly the same members. The main people who change are the missionaries, and as it happens this time there were four of them.
As we got to talking to them and asking the typical "Where are you from" types of questions, one of them announced that he is indeed from Gresham, OR. For some reason this rang a bell to me but it took me a second to realize that I've been there before. I even know someone from there. My good friend Amanda is from there. So, we got to talking and it turns out that he knows Amanda and her sister really well. Ok, I know that this happens all the time, especially in the church, but it doesn't ever make it seem any less strange/cool. So really Amanda this one is for you. Elder Hill says hi!!! (and it just looks like we are touching. It's just always weird taking pics with Elders.)

Viva Italia

So we got back from Italy a week ago and I am just now getting around to blogging about it. Well what can I say. It's Italy. It is incredibly beautiful, we had a lot of fun, and we got to do things that we haven't done there before.
Normally the majority of our time is spent in going to the beach, swimming, snorkeling, and cliff diving. This time we still did all of that, but we got to see a couple new sites and I really got to learn the way of life.
The trip started out with some excitement because when Etienne's parents came to pick us up for the 14 hour drive down there and after we had finished packing our things into the van, we discovered what we thought to be a leaking gas tank. As this was on a Sunday, fears that the trip would have to be delayed immediately struck. However, we soon realized that Etienne's dad just filled the gas tank too full and then we were on our way. Yeah!! Here are some highlights of the trip:

Otranto: such a beautiful little city. We loved it, even though I was not exactly feeling up to par that evening. My legs were swollen and I had cankles. That sucked. Anyway, it is this incredible city right on the Adriatic Sea at the bottom of the heel of the boot, so it is a port city. It has an old castle which the city is built around and there are so many little streets and shops to explore. I can't wait for next year. I already know what I want to buy there!!! Look out Etienne! Just kidding. (kind of)
The cliffs by Torre del' Orso: Normally we go cliff jumping in Torre del' Orso, but this year, we went to some different and very cool ones. Of course I didn't jump this year, but you better believe I'm preparing for next year. It is hard to tell from the pictures, but somehow the water carved out a cave into the side of the rock and then I am not
sure how it happened, but it looks like a large part of the roof of the cave was washed away too, so you can actually jump down into an open area which is surrounded by rock and then swim through the cave into the open sea. Then at some point, I guess the locals carved steps in side of the wall so you can get back out. It is hard to explain, so look at the pics and use your imagination.
Saturday market: This was one of my new fav's. Why?? because I love to shop. It had everything anyone could want from food, to bathing suits to clothing and underwear, to bags and accessories (shoes), to furniture and kitchenware. It was a shopper's paradise. I was very reserved and only bought a cute white sundress for just 10 Euros. I was impressed with how controlled I was.
Night football: We've done this one before, but it was fun as usual. Actually I didn't play, but this is one of Etienne's traditions from his teenage years. Every year he meets up with several of the same guys and they play a semi-friendly game of football. It's always fun to watch and interesting to see how popular this concept is. There are hundreds of football fields all over Italy that you have to pay for a period of time to play on. They are lit so you can play at night. It's a cool concept anyway.
Everyday living: This year Nonna (Etienne's Grandma) taught me several of her own recipies, so I am excited to try them out. Also, this year, I found out where to buy everything you need in the little village. This can be tricky because there are so many little shops and they don't all have the same standards for food. Our normal daily shopping list included fresh mozzarella, perchochi (the most incredible fruit in the world), bread, and tomatoes, all of which were incredible.
My favorite memory of the trip: spending alone time with Eti just crumbling freshly dried oregano to take home with us. We just sat, talked, and did a lot of laughing. My husband is the best.

Life is Hectic...

Well you've probably noticed the large amount of new posts on our blog today. Well my answer is... Life is Hectic.
The day after Al, Vic, and the boys left. I shot my first wedding with the new camera!! I was in heaven. I really miss doing photography on a regular basis.
Etienne came with me and was, as always, indispensable. He was my right hand man the whole day, constantly running around changing fire hot batteries, buying batteries, getting me whatever I needed, ie: food, drinks, batteries, drinks, CF cards, batteries, etc. It was just really nice to be able to work side by side like that, and I think we got some really great results.
Soon you will all be able to see my website. I know I've been saying that for over a year now, but I promise it will really be soon. My goal is to have it ready in the next 2 months. So, you can hold me to it. Ok!! Well here are a couple shots from the wedding as a teaser. Obviously I didn't put them on very high quality because of copyright issues. (I don't want anyone to steal them.) Anyway, enjoy.

Our Angel
If the first person who came to your mind when you read the title of this post wasn't Max, then you've never met my nephew, and he technically isn't ours, but we claim him as such.
When Al and her fam came to visit, they were so kind as to bring my very new, very amazing camera with them. I love it!! Anyway, as you may guess, I was very excited and the first quiet moment I got (when Graham was supposed to be taking a nap) I started inspecting it.
Well Max is also quite the photographer, so of course, a shiny new camera immediately caught his attention. As he sat with me, admiring my new purchase, he very inquisitively asked, "Aunt J, is your camera almost as good as Grandpa's?"
To this I enthusiastically replied, "Well, actually my camera is better!"
I then continued to inspect my treasure and after what must have been a couple minutes Max somberly asked, "Aunt J, how do you think Grandpa would feel if he knew that you said that???" Ouch. I then went on to explain that I only had a better camera because mine was newer than Grandpa's.
This answer didn't really seem to satisfy Max, so after a second of thinking what I should say, I responded, "Ya know soon Canon is going to come out with a newer camera and I know Grandpa is going to buy that one (No response from Max.... ) and that one will be better then mine."
"Oh... well that's ok then, he chimed in."
Seriously you can't get much sweeter than that, and there is definitely no questioning his love for his Grandpa. Nothing is right in the world if someone else has a better camera than Grandpa!! You can imagine how the conversation over my flash went.(It is newer than Grandpa's)
We love that sweet boy.

AL & the MEN visit Switzerland
It's always strange for us when our two worlds collide and just a few weeks ago, they did in a big way. We got a visit from the (in)famous AL and the MEN. It was amazing. I love to see my nephews (and my sister and bro-in-law too of course) and wow, they have gotten bigger. Honestly I feel sorry for all those mothers out there who don't have Max and Graham as their boys, because really no other boys can measure up...and NO I'm not biased!
While they were here we got to do some fun stuff even though their trip was sadly too short to do everything. So here's what we did:
On the first day, I showed them our city: the one and only St. Gallen!!!
We went to the flower island of Mainau another day where there is an amazing water play area for kids. (The boys didn't want to leave.)
Another day, we went to the top of the highest mountain around--- Mount Säntis---way cool. We went up right before a storm so the ride was a little scary because we were traveling through clouds and all we could see was white for a time.
We went swimming in the pond on the hill overlooking St. Gallen called Drei Weiern one evening.
We also went to a chocolate factory, where we bought tons of chocolate...yummmm. (sorry no pics allowed) Actually, I don't think we ate much other than cheese and chocolate for the week they were here---and I wonder why I gained weight so quickly.
We had so much fun doing so many things together and even more fun just sitting and talking. The boys are more fun/funny than ever so there was really never a dull moment.
Well, it's always sad to say goodbye, but luckily this time wasn't too bad since we'll be seeing them very soon for family reunion!!!! So Al, and the men, come back soon. We love you.

Zürich football tournament
First I just want to clarify something. This is for the Americans (which most of you reading this are). If I say football in any post, there's a 99% chance that I am talking about soccer. So with that cleared up, on with the post...
I know I am really behind, but you will see from the next several posts that we have been incredibly busy over the last month. About 4 weeks ago, Zürich stake held their annual football tournament. Every year Etienne organizes a team, usually consisting of the same players, and every year or close to it, they are in the final of the tournament. They had never won one of these tournaments.... until now. Etienne has just corrected me. They had never won the Zürich tournament until this year. They have, however, won the Bern tournament before. I am very proud of him though. Every year he works so hard to create a good team and this year it really payed off. Congrats Bacca!!! I love you.
So here are some pics of the team and their amazin coach...

Dr. Dumb
I am really sick of doctors who expect their patients to just believe everything they say no matter how incompetent it is or how much you have read and know that what they are saying isn't true. To get to the point, I went to my OBGYN on Wed thinking I would find out the sex of the baby. Note to all those of you who haven't been prego before or haven't read a million books on the subject: Usually you can tell the sex of the baby betwe
en the 16th and 20th week of the pregnancy unless baby doesn't want to cooperate.
So, I went to an appointment during the 16th week and my IncrediDoc told me it was too early to know. Fine... I could easily understand that since it was at the beginning of that range, so I happily waited til the next app't because he said that we would be able to see those "other body parts" the next time. This Wed was my 20th week check up (the next time) and he again told me that it was tooooo early to see. Alayna was with me this time since she and the men got to come to visit us this week. She looked shocked at this statement as did I since she knew the sex of both her boys at 16 weeks.
So anyway, I don't know what the sex is, and now I will have to wait another three weeks to find out what the sex is for sure. My next appointment is on the 23rd of July when we get back from Italy.
However, the Doc did say what he thinks the sex of the baby could be, so for those of you dieing to know, then you'll have to call me or email me to find out. I'm not posting it yet since it isn't "for sure". I think the Doc is just non-committal for fear of being wrong, because that might shrink his manly-hood or something. Who knows, but I guess we'll see. Please stay tuned for further posts and a few pics of our visit from Al and the Men!!!!

BLUE OR PINK???
So although many of you have already had your say as to what sex you think this baby is going to be, here is your formal opportunity to tell us what you think. So what is it; BOY or GIRL??
Also, if you have any amazing names that you're not planning on one day using for your own bundles of joy, please do tell. Remember, we are internationally "diverse" and need names that will work with many accents and ways of speaking. So please don't be offended if we don't choose your name and or if we don't manage to have the boy/girl you wanted.
We will find out the sex of the baby in about 3 weeks, so you have until then. We're excited to see what you come up with!

Euro Obsession 2008
Hey y'all. I know, finally another post. I must say in my defense though that I have been much more consistent with my posts than I have been to emailing any of you!! Exactly.
So as some of you may be wondering what this is. It is the beloved Eurocup 2008, which just so happens to be taking place here in the lovely country of Switzerland, and we just so happen not to have tickets. It sucks. However, although we aren't able to be there for all the action, it has been taking up most of our lives. There are games every night--2 to be exact and of course we watch them. They started on Saturday and we've already been to 2 parties. One which I didn't really know we were hosting. Etienne is way more of a fan than I am though, and tends to watch not only the games but also all the commentary about the games before the games, during the games and then don't forget after the games. On the other side of the fence, I really don't have the stomach for all that talk of soccer/football (depending on what side of the pond you're reading this from). I love the games, just not the endless dribble that surrounds them.
What is it with guys and their unending desire to obsess over every aspect of sports. I mean really, their interests could get a little more varied!! Oh well, for the next several weeks I have resigned myself to being either extremely bored for several hours of my days, or just finding other things to do in the evenings than spending time with my husband.
I guess life could be worse though. Etienne could like croquet.

And it Begins...
While my parents were here, they were so very kind and helped us with a couple prenatal projects. We had to move tons of furniture, rewire the internet connections and paint an old grungy lookin wardrobe, not to mention find room and places for all the things that were displaced by the upheaval. I should have taken more pictures, but didn't think of it mainly from lack of sleep. So all I have to show you are the semi-before and after pics of the wardrobe. We had to do the sanding and painting on our upper-balcony because of obvious ventilation problems. This was quite the task considering it began to rain just as we were putting on the final coat of paint....yikes. However, I have to say it still turned out to be quite the piece o' furnitia. I love it. The top pic is showing the cute details, because in the bottom pic you can't see the grooves. Just use your imagination --k!!!

Blog Break over.
So Yes, I know it has been a while, as some of you have already pointed out. I know!!! I have a good reason though. The last two weeks have been spent with my ultimately amazing parents. They came to visit for 2 weeks and as is the norm as soon as my dad gets to Europe, we didn't see much of him. Here are some pics of the trip though. The one of the garden is actually on an island called Mainau which is a flower island not far from where we live. It is basically a botanical garden on steroids. This picture really doesn't do it justice. The other 2 pics are of our awesome Hamilton/Eggenberger bowling day!! What an action shot---go Dad! Lots of interesting/embarassing mishaps on that one which I will not divulge here at this time. We really had such a good time and I was extremely sad to see Mom and Dad go. Aren't they the best? I mean really!!

So for those of you who really want to know how things are progressing with the baby, this one's for you. For those of you who look at sonograms and think, wow looks like the 25 million other ones I didn't care to look at, then I officially exempt you from this posting. (but shame on you cause really this one is the stuff!)
So apparently our kid has some serious rhythm. He/she was moving all over the place during the sonogram, I must say, it was pretty incredible! It was hard for the doc to even get any pics that weren't blurry. So anyway, this is the latest and greatest in baby photographs. Enjoy!!!

Fun at last, Fun at last.
I have not exactly been feeling up to speed on anything in the last several weeks, so this weekend has been amazing. I have felt nausea free for 3 days now. I am really tired from the last couple fun filled days, but I am nausea free. Halelujah!!! I am soooo happy. To celebrate this milestone, we had some fun again.
On Friday night we had "the group" come over for Japanese food, including a mishap with the fake champagne!! Good job Oli!
Also, as some of you may know, my husband used to be quite the skateboarder, but he hasn't really found the time to do it for the last 4 years. So anyway, a bunch of guys he used to skate with have been working with the city over the last year or so to build a new skate park and today was the opening. It was really fun. We got to see some friends there and watch a lot of good skaters. It was the perfect day for it too, since the weather was beautiful. I think I may have even gotten some color on my face.

Your self interest comes first, and others come later, if at all. In general, you feel that people are not to be trusted. And you're skeptical that anyone else really feels differently. Neuroticism: You have low neuroticism. You are very emotionally stable and mentally together. Only the greatest setbacks upset you, and you bounce back quickly. Overall, you are typically calm and relaxed - making others feel secure. Openness to experience: Your openness to new experiences is medium. You are generally broad minded when it come to new things. But if something crosses a moral line, there's no way you'll approve of it. You are suspicious of anything too wacky, though you do still consider creativity a virtue. |
So I am really getting into this whole blogthing thing. I found this test and thought I'd give it a whirl. I think some of these points are right on and some are not so. It was fun to see the results anyway.

Mmmmm random cravings...
Ok so here's the latest and greatest of my food cravings: sugar cookies with icing. The cookies turned out really well, but I must say, the icing was a different story. I am constantly learning the differences between everything American, and everything European. Let me tell you there is a huge difference. Normally I can use the powdered sugar here for all the things you can in America, so why should simple icing be any different? Right?? Because I live in Europe that's why. They like to make everything just a little more difficult. Don't even get me started on grocery stores that close at 6:30 every night....So for now I guess I will have to do without the icing, among other things, but hey that's a small price to pay for the scenery huh!!

Who wants more Eggs?
So I don't think I really need to explain what this is, but for those of you not living in the 21st century, we're expecting!! Before anyone asks...no we don't know the sex. We're only 9 weeks along. We'll keep you all filled in on the news as it comes in though. I've been reading a ton about pregnancy and all the factors that go into it actually happening. It's crazy how complex and amazing it all is. What an amazing miracle! I always thought all those moms out there were really just sappy and annoying when they would go on and on about being pregnant like it was a huge miracle. I just thought, come on do I really need to explain the birds and the bees to you?? I guess I am in the sappy club now huh!
